Instructions for authors

All accepted extended abstracts will be included in the Book of Abstracts, while accepted papers will be included in the congress proceedings. Papers that have not met the acceptance criteria in the review process can still be presented at the congress, and their extended abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts.

When preparing the final version of your paper or extended abstract, please review the comments and instructions from the reviewers meticulously, and follow these instructions.

EXTENDED ABSTRACTS

Extended abstracts (including references, tables, and figures) should have a minimum of 600 and a maximum of 850 words. When preparing your document, please use the EXTENDED ABSTRACT template.

PAPERS

There are two types of papers:

Papers for the talks: 6–12 pages, including figures and references.

Poster / software demonstration papers: 56 pages, including figures and references.

Your paper can exceed the required number of pages if this is necessary for revision following the reviews.

When preparing the final versions of your papers, please use the PAPER template. Along with addressing the reviewers’ comments, your paper should be proofread and your reference list prepared in accordance with the instructions you can find in the template. The editors of the proceedings will check that the necessary revisions are made and that the paper is prepared following these instructions. In case you fail to prepare the final version accordingly, you run the risk of not having your paper published.

When preparing the paper, it is recommended to write directly into the style sheet and to replace the model text (please always use the correct style as indicated in the style sheet). Do not insert any blank lines between the different sections of the paper (the line spaces are predefined in the style sheet). Each paper must include an abstract of 150 to 200 words (written in English). Do not repeat the abstract in the main text of the paper, e.g. as part of the introduction.

Each paper should be submitted to EasyChair both as doc/docx/odt file and as an unprotected PDF file. As a file naming convention, please use the following structure: ID123_SurnameAuthor1 (e.g. ID198_horvat.docx), where ID is the identification number of your contribution in the Easy-Chair.

Once you finalize your document, upload your paper or extended abstract via EasyChair. To update an existing submission, click on the “view” icon adjacent to your submission. A new window will display details of your submission, where you can select “Add or update files” to upload new versions of your documents. Click “Submit” once completed.
